* Comfortable, But Far From The Center Of The City. German Management *

The first thing I noticed here was the fence and shut gate. A security guard opened the large gate. I looked to the left at the guard house and saw 4 security guards there! That's 5 security guards at the front gate! Then I noticed a fair number of BMWs with jazzy graphics. A BMW school of performance driving is here. There is no race track in sight though.

In the lobby are the sounds of chirping birds. It's amazing there are only 2 birds - one per cage. I guess they like to talk to each other. These little birds can make so much noise! But I liked it, because it reminded me of Spring (or being in the jungle). There are two fish tanks in the lobby. One has piranhas.

The corridors and rooms are of very good quality. There are 86 rooms. The hotel has German management.

During the summer, the best rooms will face the non-working stadium. If your room faces the German beer shacks in the back, there could be a lot of partying noise. They call it the "Beer Garden."

I was surprised to see only a 13" TV in their luxury suite. Besides that, the rooms are all very nice and very comfortable. I would certainly be very comfortable staying here. But it is a bit far from the metro.

Staff Speaks English? Hmm... I'm not sure. I don't think so.

Would I Stay Here? Yes.

To get here we stopped a driver on the street and paid 50 rubles to be driven to this horse track. The metro is nowhere nearby. There are big buildings here and lots of concrete open space. We tried to get into different areas but found locked doors. Eventually we discovered that the hotel was in a different building away from the large structures here. The hotel is in a process of renovation. All the rooms I saw looked brand new - good quality - and fairly cheap. They charge higher prices for foreigners and the rates range from 600 to 3000 rubles. Nice rooms are 1300 rubles and up (cheap). From the information I was given, I believe they have 51 rooms. A forest is nearby. The land goes from barren concrete to sudden, thick birch tree forest.

For 350 rubles an hour you can ride a horse with the help of an instructor. There is a large pool there - the biggest I have seen at a Moscow hotel and you can take aqua-aerobics classes there. A sports bar is expected to be completed soon. They have a so-so cafe now with a view of a horse area.

There are no interesting sights here, just tall apartment buildings and smoke stacks. There are no shops anywhere nearby. And I saw no horses during my visit, but I smelled them in the second building I entered while trying to find the hotel.
