1. Private Moscow, Russia apartment in the Serpukhovskaya Metro Station Area I stayed in this Moscow apartment for 3 weeks and I was very comfortable here. On the landlord's website, the apartment photos don't really capture the comfort and charm of this little place. Like most apartment buildings, the entryway and hallways of this building are crappy. It reminds me of scenes in the movie "The Matrix" where interior hallways were mostly crappy inside of ordinary buildings. But the apartment is like new, tastefully decorated, and felt safe. The neighbors never bothered me.
Apartment building I stayed in ---> The building has a crappy exterior appearance, but the apartment is very comfortable, like new, and secure.
Outside is a very interesting neighborhood. There is an academy of some kind across the street, so there are tons of students, and massive parking problems! The Russians are so creative when it comes to parking. I guess you have to see it to believe it! Easily less than a five minute walk down the block is the Serpukhovskaya metro station. Yulki Pulki, a popular chain restaurant is there (good food). In the other direction is a quality Georgian restaurant. And there are all kinds of other businesses nearby. Plus, an internet cafe is just 12 to 15 minutes away by foot.
<--- Across the street is an academy. This means lots of students and lots of cars!
Hotel Tatiana and Grand Victoria Hotel are
in the same neighborhood. I really liked it here (the photos do not
convey the neighborhood's charm). And the landlord was
super! Her English is superb and her service attitude is excellent. I'm
confident in saying that she is good to do business with. She even took care
of my visa registration! Everything very much exceeded my expectations. # # # 2. Private Moscow, Russia apartment in the Mayokovskaya Metro Station Area (Photos to come later) I stayed in this Moscow apartment for 4 days. I was also very comfortable here and I loved the apartment. It felt like home. The apartment is located within a 10 minute walk of the Marriott Grand Hotel. Andrei of Peace Travel Services prefers to rent it out to adoptive parents, and the apartment has things for a young child. The apartment came with a computer with free internet access! That was very useful for me. And the price even included free phone calls to the United States (where I live in the Philadelphia area). The apartment building is on the extremely busy Tverskaya Street, but the apartment faces a much quieter back street. Strangely, there is always an old lady near the front door (she is like a guard). Andrei says just to ignore her and jokes that she might be "KGB." The Kremlin is an interesting 20 to 25 minute walk from the apartment. All kinds of restaurants and shops are in the neighborhood. And the Mayakovskaya Metro Station is right there. Go to this landlords website: Mayokovskaya Metro Station Area Apartment
