* Church Guy Is Everywhere - On Every Wall *

This hotel belongs to an orthodox religion organization. It is nice, clean, a little dated, and a bit strange. The head orthodox guy - Alexy the 2nd, is idolized all over the hotel. Every room has a portrait of this guy in his preacher outfit. We found it to be weird.

The neighborhood is quiet and it doesn't seem like Moscow. It appears there are 3 different churches bordering one corner of the property. It probably is very interesting to hear the bells ring on the hour.

An unusual garden area is out front with real grass. Inside there is a fairly impressive marble lobby. I was surprised to see it. The corridors are not bad. Rooms range in price from $80 to $200 per night (as of March 23, 2004). All rooms are air-conditioned except for the standard rooms. The rooms have keycard locks. Each room, besides having a photo of the preacher, also has icons and a bible, plus hardwood floors. The bathrooms are fine. Room decor can be old and tired.

The hotel has a certain classiness in an odd sort of way. A good internet room (with two computers) is on the second floor along with a nice cafe area. A cash machine and an interesting restaurant are on the lobby floor.

The Danislovskaya is unique. It is an okay place. It's not bad. I am more excited about other hotels though.

* Good, Brand New Hotel Near The Exhibition Center Park *

The Dinaoda's theme in their marketing pieces is "The Art Of Hospitality." I was certainly impressed with their brand new facility. It was opened in November 2003. They have 63 rooms of excellent quality.

The elevator I rode in was small. Three skinny people can fit in. A key card is required to operate the elevator. Security is very good here with abundant surveillance cameras and a couple security guards who also assist guests with luggage and things. The corridors are very elegant nice areas. First I saw standard room 403. It's quite big! And it has both a shower and bathtub. Room 402 was considered a luxury room. It is the same size as the standard, but has fancier furniture. A fitness center is coming in the summer. Room prices are 3630 to 7260 rubles as of 3/27/2004. I liked their new restaurant with the boom-boom music. Right from the beginning when you step into the lobby, your expectations will be raised high. The lobby has elegant marble floors. I was very impressed with this hotel. It is very much a quality facility. I like it very much here, and it is one of the nicest places you can stay in this area. They have rooms for disabled people.
